Your pre-admission visit. Since learning as much as you can about your upcoming surgery will make your experience as comfortable and positive as possible, we ask that you visit Sheridan Surgical Center within five days of your scheduled procedure or surgery. Please call 672-7874 for an appointment; we'll have a Registered Nurse available to visit with you.

Let us answer your quesitons. At your visit, a Registered Nurse will ask you some medical questions, complete a questionnaire with you, discuss with you any pre-surgical or procedure preps you may require, and answer any questions you may have. You will also have the opportunity to visit with one of our helpful staff members to discuss insurance and financial arrangements. If you are unable to visit, our nurse may be available to discuss your medical history over the phone. If you have not been contacted within two days prior to your procedure or surgery, please call us at 672-7874. Our business office hours are Monday through Friday, 8am to 4pm.

We'll help you be prepared. You will need to sign a consent form giving permission for the procedure to be performed. If you are under 18 years of age, a parent or legal guardian must sign the consent for you. If you are having a gastrointestinal procedure, you may need to complete a special prep before you arrive for your procedure. The prep can be obtained at the front desk of the Surgical Center or called into the pharmacy.

Your procedure time. You may call your physician's office the day before your scheduled surgery to find out the estimated time you should arrive at the Surgical Center. If you are having a Gastrointestinal procedure, you will be given the time to arrive by the nurse during your pre-admission visit. Sheridan Surgical Center calls the day before your surgery to give you the time of arrival.
